Job summary

Jet HomeLoans, a Dream Finders Homes company, is seeking a results-oriented Loan Originator to generate new business, manage referrals, and maintain client relationships in the Baltimore area. You will help close loan packages with a focus on service and timely communication.

Ideal candidates have mortgage industry experience, MD NMLS licensure, proficiency with Encompass, and a willingness to participate in a weekend on-call rotation 1–2x per month.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a mortgage loan originator.
• MD NMLS licensure required.
• Experience with Encompass.
• Ability to participate in a weekend on-call rotation 1–2x/month.
• Strong relationship, sales, communication, and MS Office skills.
• Knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, and down-payment assistance loans.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to move the loan through closing.
• Monitor sales pipeline, meet SLAs, generate referrals and new business.
• Build personal client relationships and explain mortgage products.
• Create and present mortgage cost analyses for clients (coaching).
• Package files for loan openers/processing staff and review CDs with clients.
• Lock loans, structure files, and review CDs with clients.

Job description

Our team is experiencing tremendous growth, and we are looking for a results-oriented Loan Originator who can generate new business and referrals, as well as maintain the excellent relationships we have already established with clients and referral partners. The ideal candidate will be able to assist our team in closing loan packages while maintaining an excellent level of service and communication with our clients. Lending or mortgage industry experience is required. You must have strong organizational skills and superb customer service and communication skills. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external partners (e.g. loan officer assistant, loan opener, loan processor, underwriter, referral partners, escrow, title, etc.) on behalf of the applicant as needed to make sure the loan transaction goes through successfully
• Monitor sales pipeline, meet sales expectations/SLAs, get referrals, and generate new business opportunities
• Create personal relationships with clients - offer additional information and answer questions about home mortgage products
• Create and explain mortgage coach presentations for clients (total cost analyses)
• Package files to send to the loan openers/processing staff
• Lock loans, structure files, and review final closing disclosures (CDs) with clients

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ year of experience as a mortgage loan originator
• Licensure with the NMLS in MD
• Experience with Encompass
• Willingness and ability to participate in a weekend on-call schedule rotation 1-2x/month
• Superb relationship, sales, communication, and MS Office skills
• Intermediate understanding of loan program guidelines and various types of loans such as Conventional, FHA, VA, and down-payment assistance loans

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• 3+ years of experience as a mortgage loan originator
• Licensure with the NMLS in MD, and any other states
• Experience with Encompass, Simple Nexus, and Candid
• Willingness and ability to participate in a weekend on-call schedule rotation 1-2x/month
• Superb relationship, sales, communication, and MS Office skills
• Intermediate understanding of loan program guidelines and various types of loans such as Conventional, FHA, VA, and down-payment assistance loans
