Job summary

Alcova Mortgage Inc. seeks a Loan Coordinator to support Mortgage Loan Officers through the origination process.

This role emphasizes courtesy, client satisfaction, and teamwork as you manage a loan pipeline from approval to closing, coordinating with clients, LO's, and Operations to ensure a smooth experience. You will review applications, request and track documents, communicate updates, maintain program knowledge, and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong pipeline management and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of federal and state fair lending requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Loan Officers, agents, and clients.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Familiarity with Encompass and RESPA software; proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Reviews loan applications to determine completeness and verifies borrower qualifications.
• Call borrowers to discuss applications, terms, and questions.
• Send updates to borrowers, LO, and agent with pre-approval details or next steps.
• Update the Loan Setup Worksheet with notes and qualification dates.
• Coordinate documentation and follow up with clients.
• Advise loan officers, agents, and borrowers of any deficiencies.
• Respond to customer inquiries and referrals from clients and loan officers.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of lending programs, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Comply with federal and state compliance policies.
• Coordinate sending disclosures, order appraisals, and run credit.
• Package and submit complete files to Operations via LOS.
