Job summary

Alcova Mortgage Llc in Mt Pleasant, NC is seeking a full-time Loan Originator/Officer to educate borrowers and assess eligibility for various loan products while building relationships with referral partners.

This commission-only role requires active NMLS licensing, mortgage industry experience, excellent communication, and strong math skills. You will travel locally to meet clients and work with processing and closing teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Loan Officer license with NMLS registration under the Safe Act of 2008.
• Minimum of 1 year mortgage industry experience; 2 years preferred.
• Strong pipeline management and prioritization abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement creative marketing and sales strategies to generate new mortgage business.
• Build and manage a database of past clients, referral partners, and prospects.
• Maintain accurate pipeline and timely follow-up with clients.
• Conduct face-to-face sales presentations to individuals and groups.
• Organize and participate in broker open houses.
• Educate borrowers on all loan products and options.
• Review loan applications for accuracy and completeness before submission.
• Coordinate with processing and closing teams for efficient closings.
• Complete company reporting accurately and on time.
• Monitor industry trends and financial data affecting mortgages.
