Job summary

Guild Mortgage Company is seeking a Loan Officer in Washington to guide clients through the mortgage process from application to close. You will assess eligibility, explain product options, gather required documents, and coordinate with underwriters and processors to ensure smooth closings.

Role emphasizes strong customer service, timely communication, and building a referral network. Prior mortgage lending experience and an active NMLS license are required, with an on-site office in Wenatchee.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of experience in Mortgage lending or related field.
• NMLS license required.
• Flexibility to meet customers outside the branch.
• Strong detail orientation and highly organized.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one consultations with clients to understand financial goals and assess eligibility for mortgage loans.
• Educate clients on mortgage products, terms, and options, offering personalized recommendations.
• Answer customer inquiries involving rates, products, and loan status to ensure quality service.
• Assist clients in completing mortgage applications and compiling required documentation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources to generate loan prospects.
• Coordinate and distribute marketing materials with production support teams.
• Build a referral base and self-generate new leads and maintain client lists.
• Collaborate with underwriters, processors, realtors, and lenders to facilitate loan approvals.
• Obtain accurate 1003 forms and close a minimum of two loans per month or six per quarter.
• Collect supporting documentation from borrowers (paystubs, tax returns, W2s, etc.).
• Obtain disclosures within regulatory timeframes and verify AUS findings.
