Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage is seeking a Loan Officer Assistant to support mortgage loan officers in daily duties and help increase loan production. You will interact with customers, loan officers, and processors to ensure a smooth experience and timely closings.

The role involves reviewing applications, preparing disclosures, and maintaining accurate loan files while coordinating with title companies. Strong communication and prioritization are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 year of mortgage-related experience, including customer contact.
• Previous sales support experience, preferred.
• Salesforce experience, preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing mortgage loan applications and documentation, including phone and computer work.
• Review mortgage loan disclosure packages and deliver to the borrower.
• Create rate disclosure and re-disclosure packages and deliver to the borrower.
• Review documents and entire loan files and highlight deficiencies for the loan officer/processor.
• Clarify/correct information and obtain additional information as necessary by phone or email.
• Provide general clerical and phone support to loan officers and/or loan processors.
• Assist in managing lending workflow across stages as needed.
• Assist in managing a pipeline of conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, 203K, and reverse mortgage loans.
• Deliver appraisals and/or property valuations to borrowers and retrieve proof of receipt.
• Track outstanding items and follow up to ensure timely receipt of documentation.
• Facilitate timely loan closings by coordinating with Title Company and customer.
