A+ Federal Credit Union in Austin, Texas is seeking a dedicated Mortgage and Consumer Lending Specialist to conduct consultative loan interviews, process applications, and fund loans in-branch. You will partner with branch teams to deliver exceptional member experiences for lending needs, while ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two years financial institution or sales experience required.
• One year consumer and/or mortgage lending experience preferred.
• Must be a commissioned Notary Public in Texas (may be obtained within first 12 months).

Responsabilités

• Conduct consultative loan interviews and complete loan applications for consumer and mortgage loans.
• Explain loan terms, scenarios, fees, and qualifications to members.
• Prepare mortgage disclosures and escrow calculations; provide disclosures within regulatory timelines.
• Submit applications to underwriting and coordinate with underwriters on structuring.
• Communicate loan decisions to members and discuss next steps and documentation.
• Close loans in branch or via DocuSign/Video Lending and fund proceeds.
• Assist branch teams with lending questions and maintain member relationships.
