Job summary

West-Aircomm Federal Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Coordinator / Lending Specialist to support the consumer lending team. The role involves interviewing borrowers, taking applications in person or by phone, and preparing mortgage and closing documents.

You will coordinate mortgage and home equity loans, manage follow-up paperwork, disburse or close loans, and ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct loan interviews and take loan applications in person and over the phone.
• Prepare loan papers, including mortgage papers, for closing.
• Coordinate all mortgage / home equity loans, including all follow up papers, mortgage documents, property reports, title insurance, homeowners’ insurance, bring-downs, satisfactions and mortgage balance verifications as well as pay-offs and home equity advances, mortgage modifications and subordinations and evaluations.
• Post loans on the computer and balance at the end of the day.
• Disburse or close all types of loans.
• Cross-sell all credit union products.
• Daily handling of phone calls regarding Visa and loans; Completion of any necessary action for each phone call.
• Assemble applications for review.
• Process and post indirect loans as well as unsecured and secured loans.
• Notify members of any loans approved and schedule loan closings if needed.
• Disburse or post all types of loans.
• Drop off Beaver County mortgages to the Recorder of Deeds office if needed.
• Maintain working knowledge of loans and visa.
• Develop a working knowledge of all credit union products and services.
• Handle loan corrections.
• Monitor Home Equity Line of Credits for maturity date and offer draw period extensions when qualified.
• Handle loan payroll deduction problems.
• Notary work for both the credit union and credit union members.
• Understand and comply with all compliance issues affecting lending, including Bank Secrecy.
• Assist in all areas directed by the President / CEO and the Vice Presidents of the loan department.
