Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in consumer lending, financial services, or consultative sales preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of consumer lending and credit reports.
• Ability to identify issues and solve problems with sound judgment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling applications.
• Ability to manage multiple systems, deadlines and priorities.
• Credit union or banking experience and LOS experience preferred.
• Spanish language ability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a consultative, relationship-focused lending experience for members and applicants.
• Learn goals, recommend responsible solutions, and guide applications through the LOS.
• Communicate decisions and next steps to members.
• Work with processing team to move loans toward closing.
• Build trusted relationships through loan conversations and follow-up.
• Identify member needs and recommend consumer loan and protection solutions.
• Collect and maintain accurate application information in the LOS.
• Review credit and application details for concerns and opportunities.
• Communicate approvals, counteroffers, conditions, and adverse decisions clearly.
• Maintain knowledge of products, rates, promotions, procedures, and compliance.
• Collaborate with lending, processing, operations, collections, and management to serve members effectively.
