Job summary

JCPenney is seeking an Operations Associate to create an outstanding customer experience by performing critical store operations tasks before opening. This early morning role collaborates with teammates to ensure merchandise is stocked, priced, and ready for customers.

Responsibilities include customer service, signing changes, replenishment, receiving merchandise, and maintaining a clean backroom while supporting omnichannel efforts. Prior retail experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of retail experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willing to work early morning shifts and store opening tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and assist shoppers with questions and requests.
• Execute pricing and signing changes quickly and accurately.
• Replenish and restock merchandise to ensure availability and variety on the floor.
• Receive and unload merchandise and prepare stock for the floor.
• Maintain backroom standards and organize stock efficiently.
• Support omnichannel initiatives including Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship from Store.
