Job summary

Cart.com seeks an experienced Merchant of Record Operations & Financial Oversight professional to own MoR accounting processes across multiple brands. You will ensure payment processing integrity, settlements, tax compliance, and strong financial controls in a fast-paced ecommerce environment.

The ideal candidate combines deep accounting fundamentals with payments operations expertise, and will drive scale while maintaining accuracy and compliance across MoR activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required.
• 3–7 years of experience in payments operations, merchant services, accounting, finance, or related field within ecommerce or tech services.
• Experience with payment platforms (Stripe, Braintree, PayPal) and tax automation tools (Avalara, TaxJar).

Responsibilities

• Own MoR accounting operations across supported brands.
• Monitor and resolve payment exceptions, settlement issues, chargebacks and refunds.
• Maintain reconciliations between payment platforms, banking activity, and GL.
• Support month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting related to MoR.
