Applied Industrial Technologies in Cumberland, MD is seeking a Customer Service Representative to assist customers by phone and in person, building ongoing relationships and delivering the right parts quickly.

Qualifications

• 6 months of customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent telephone and written skills, including English grammar.
• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
• Enjoys working with computers, including Outlook and Excel; comfortable with Google search.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR).
• SAP / ERP experience preferred but not required.
• Some knowledge of industrial distribution products and hydraulics preferred but not required.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, multitasking, sense of humor.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by phone and in person at our facility.
• Clarify needs, research, and after getting up to speed, recommend parts.
• Meet/exceed monthly sales goals while increasing customer satisfaction.
• Process quotes, take orders and provide post-order service.
