Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Process Engineer to manage mold sampling, qualification, and validation for new and rebuilt tooling. You will optimize molding processes, develop Master Process Sheets, and support plant startups and variations in tooling.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration to improve process capability and product quality across manufacturing sites. You will document best practices, lead DOEs and process capability studies, and mentor technicians.

Qualifications

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Minimum of 5 years' processing experience in the plastics packaging industry.
• Experience with SPC is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage mold samplings and qualification services on new or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize molding process to meet dimensional limits within cycle time.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for injection or blow molding.
• Attend project meetings and tool specification reviews as needed.
• Train plant personnel in technical areas and tooling changes.
• Provide manufacturing support to solve production issues related to machine, process, tooling, or design.
