Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC is seeking a Process Engineer to manage mold sampling and qualification for new and rebuilt tools, and to validate processes with plant technical teams. You will lead improvements, share best practices, and support startups with new tooling.

The role emphasizes DOE studies, process optimization, and documentation. A bachelor’s in engineering and 5 years in plastics packaging are preferred, with substantial travel possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to influence internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of mold samplings & qualification services on new, replacement or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize the molding process to meet dimensional limits at or below designed cycle time.
• Create and maintain standardized Master Process Sheets for injection or blow molding.
• Attend project meetings, design reviews and tool specification meetings.
• Train plant personnel in technical areas including machine processing and tool design changes.
