Job summary

Lucid Motors in Chicago is seeking a Service Assistant to help run the day-to-day service operations and ensure a smooth workflow for customers and vehicles. This entry-level role supports technicians, moves vehicles, coordinates rides, and assists with deliveries and hand-overs.

You will gain hands-on experience in the automotive industry, participate in safety trainings, and contribute to a high-performance service team that values efficiency, safety, and exemplary customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Basic automotive knowledge required.
• Willingness to obtain forklift certification after hire.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Full-time position, including weekends or extended hours during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class customer experience to all Lucid clients, internal and external.
• Drive vehicles for pickups/drop-offs, including loaners, and assist with shop runs (e.g., to Bodyshop, charge stations).
• Coordinate Lyft rides for internal vehicle moves as requested.
• Assist with Pre-Delivery Inspection carrier prep and vehicle hand-over; support check-in when needed.
• Assist technicians with basic repairs in the shop.
• Move and stage vehicles, deliver parts, wash vehicles, and support service department as needed.
