Job summary

Numotion is seeking a Service Technician to service and repair complex manual and powered wheelchairs and other essential medical equipment. The role emphasizes technical repair, field service, and customer education to ensure safe, reliable equipment daily.

The position requires two years of mechanical experience, use of hand/power tools, and ability to travel to various locations. Strong safety awareness and documentation skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or minimum one year of related experience.
• Minimum of two years of relevant mechanical experience; medical equipment experience preferred.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools for equipment repair.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication (Word processing, Email, Internet).
• Valid State Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record; some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment in the shop and in the field.
• Maintain stock equipment and keep rental gear organized.
• Keep the shop/warehouse clean, safe, and organized at all times.
• Maintain delivery vehicles in safe operating condition.
• Receive, store, and ship parts with accurate inventory tracking.
• Complete documentation thoroughly and timely, including signatures and reports.
• Educate customers and caregivers on proper use and safety of equipment.
• Perform minor fittings and adjustments for user comfort.
• Follow safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
• Participate in required in-service training to stay updated with industry practices.
