Qualifications

• 2-4 years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational/Technical or certification preferred.
• Current CDL license with air brake certification required; willing to obtain if not.
• DOT medical card and/or ability to obtain DOT medical card.
• Ability to read a map and use mapping tools.

Responsibilities

• Repair and diagnose engines, powertrain, electrical, HVAC, steering, brakes, and suspension systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and reconditioning for trade-ins and new equipment.
• Identify required parts and manage inventory; order as needed.
• Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions or verify proper operation.
• Maintain a safe, clean on-site work area and comply with safety standards.
• Serve as primary customer contact and coordinate with sales/operations as needed.
• Ensure equipment meets DOT and Penske safety policies.
