Job summary

Qualifications

• 2-4 years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational/Technical or certification preferred.
• Specialized training in the repair and replacement of vehicle components preferred.
• Proficiency in the use of shop tools required.
• Current CDL license with air brake certification required; US domicile in the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Repair and diagnose major components and subassemblies per guidance.
• Perform preventive maintenance service and diagnostics with minimal supervision.
• Order, receive and manage parts inventory; perform road tests to verify repairs.
• Inspect and adjust brakes, steering, electrical and HVAC systems; ensure compliance with DOT and Penske safety policies.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and document repairs on repair orders.
