Penske is seeking an experienced Technician II in Concord, NC for maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on a diverse fleet. You’ll work independently on major and minor repairs, perform road tests, and mentor newer technicians while growing your own skills through Penske training.

Qualifications

• 3 years of practical experience with vehicle maintenance required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
• ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications (preferred)
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must comply with DOT/OSHA and Penske safety policies
• Willing to travel within the district as needed
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles and ensure safety for customers
• Perform preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers with little supervision
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials, turbochargers, fuel systems
• Keep work area clean and safe
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs including diagnostics
• Learn new skills through Penske technician training
• Contribute to other projects as assigned by supervisor
