Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a skilled Technician in Statesville, NC. You will perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet, using Penske tools and diagnostic equipment.

The role offers hands-on learning, supervision from experienced technicians, and growth opportunities within a structured training program. The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and operations efficiency with a focus on quality workmanship across multiple OEM vehicles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical vehicle repair training a plus.
• 1–2 years automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to solve problems, use basic hand tools, and work safely.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; team-oriented and outdoors capable.
• Willingness to comply with DOT/OSHA safety policies and training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs to keep vehicles safe and on the road.
• Utilize Penske tools and tech to diagnose, log, and complete repairs.
• Assist with tire rotations, lubrication, electrical and cooling system maintenance.
• Learn new skills through Penske's technician training and coaching.
• Support supervisors and complete other tasks as assigned.
