Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing in Garner, NC is seeking an experienced Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll work independently on major and minor tasks, mentoring others while learning from leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational/technical certification encouraged.
• 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance.
• ASE Certification and 608/609 certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure vehicles are safe for customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers with minimal supervision.
• Repair and troubleshoot engines, transmissions, differentials; replace assemblies.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Use Penske tools to log, research and complete repairs, including diagnostics.
• Learn new skills through Penske’s technician training.
• Work on other projects as assigned by supervisor.
