Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II to perform certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs on trailers at customer sites. You will handle brakes, air lines, pumps, engines, liftgates, and welding tasks under supervision of senior technicians.

The role requires a HS diploma, 3 years in trailers, ASE certifications, and a valid driver's license. On-site work with safety and regulatory compliance emphasized.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED and 3 years in trailers.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical per FMCSA.
• ASE certifications within 18 months of hire.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be 21+.
• Safety training completion required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections on trailers; document work performed.
• Diagnose and repair trailer brakes, air lines, pumps, engines, liftgates and frames.
• Maintain and operate service vehicle; conduct safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Obtain parts from vendors and manage inventory.
• Communicate repair estimates and RO findings to leadership.
