Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician II to perform certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs at customer sites. Work includes trailer brakes, air lines, pumps, engines, liftgates, and fabrication tasks. The role operates primarily on-site with supervision from senior technicians when needed.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED and relevant trailer experience, plus valid CDL and DOT considerations. Competitive hourly pay and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of trailer parts and systems, and how to repair them.
• Ability to read and follow DOT/Fleet paperwork and forms.
• Demonstrates safe work practices and mechanical competence.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive Maintenance and repairs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on various trailers and equipment with little or no supervision.
• Document according to company standards and upload pictures of work performed, parts used, and all findings observed on Repair Orders using TRAIT app.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical components and perform related repairs as assigned.
