Job summary

Caretenders, part of LHC Group and a member of the Optum family, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support treatment plans and educate patients to enhance well-being under a supervising PT.

You will help with active and passive exercises, assess progress, and coordinate with the health care team to ensure safe, effective care in a home setting. Requires state licensure and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed to practice physical therapy in state of practice.
• Driver's license and vehicle insurance or reliable transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervising PT plans for home care.
• Instructs patients in active and passive exercises and gait training.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment to the PT and care team.
• Educate patients, families and caregivers on therapy within scope.
• Adapt to diverse home environments and patient needs.
