Job summary

OptumCare’s Caretenders team is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to support home health patients and follow established care plans. You will guide active and passive exercises, assist with gait, transfers, and safety while coordinating with supervising clinicians.

Required licensure and a valid driver’s license, with weekend availability. CPR certification preferred or obtainable within 90 days, and a patient-centered approach to care is essential.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• CPR certification (preferred) or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing physical therapy in home care and adhere to the plan of care.
• Instructs and assists patients with exercises, gait, ADL, transfer, and safety.
• Observes and reports patient responses and coordinates care with the healthcare team.
• Educates patient, family, and others on therapy within scope of practice.
• Adapt to home environments and diverse patient needs.
