Job summary

CARETenders Westborough, part of LHC Group and Optum family, is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant for home health services. You will follow a plan of care under a supervising PT and educate patients and families on exercises and safety during visits.

The role requires PA license to practice in home care, active driver’s license, and weekend availability. The compensation includes a base pay with per-visit and hourly components, reflecting productivity and regional factors.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Available to work a weekend rotation

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing provision of physical therapy in home care, per supervising PT; perform only approved procedures.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer and prosthetic training.
• Observes, records, and reports patient responses; coordinates care with the healthcare team.
• Educates patient, family, caregiver, and other health-care team members within PTA scope.
• Function in any home setting regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
