Job summary

HomeCall, part of the LHC Group within the Optum family, seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver treatment and education under a supervising therapist. You will guide patients through exercises, monitor responses, and coordinate with the care team to support wellbeing in home care.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing provision of physical therapy in home care and adhere to the supervising PT's plan of care.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercises, gait, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment to the supervising PT and care team; coordinate with healthcare staff.
• Educate patient, family, caregiver, and other health team members on therapy within PT assistant scope.
• Function effectively in diverse home settings regardless of patient demographics.
