Job summary

Versiti Blood Center of Indiana is seeking a driven Donor Collection Lead to ensure on-time delivery of team work and high-quality phlebotomy services. You will coach staff, uphold compliance, and improve donor experiences while coordinating mobile drives across Indiana.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and patient-centered service, with supervision of the donor collection process and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years phlebotomy experience preferred; health-care background helpful.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Ability to learn Ceridian, Hemasphere, Oracle, and HemaTerra systems.

Responsibilities

• Follows DOT guidelines when operating a full-size van and transports staff and equipment safely.
• Leads donor collection team and provides feedback to staff and supervisors.
• Prepares collection site, sets up technology systems, and ensures quality control.
• Trains and mentors team members in all aspects of the role.
• Performs donor screening, phlebotomy, and prepares units for transport.
• Maintains safety, quality results, and documentation; supports regulatory compliance.
• Rebooks donors for future appointments and supports logistics of mobile drives.
