Job summary

Versiti Blood Center of Indiana is seeking a lead phlebotomy team member responsible for on-time delivery of work and quality assurance. You will coach staff assigned for the day, oversee donor collection, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires phlebotomy expertise, a valid driver license, and strong customer service skills to support donors and colleagues across collection sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Valid driver license required.
• Ability to learn Ceridian, Hemasphere, Oracle and HemaTerra.

Responsibilities

• Follows DOT guidelines when operating a full-size van and safely transports staff, supplies and equipment.
• Travels to other collections sites, as determined by business need.
• Prepares collection site and performs set up, including technology systems.
• Leads donor collection team, redirects issues and problems that arise from Donor Specialists; provide feedback and follow through with team members and supervisors.
• Takes care of donors with customer service excellence and builds relationships.
• Establishes and builds relationships with donors and sponsors.
• Ensures customer issues with potential negative impact are resolved and the supervisor informed.
• Pretends donor screening and phlebotomy including automation.
• Packs units for transport.
• Operates, troubleshoots, and maintains equipment.
