Job summary

LifeShare is seeking a phlebotomist supervisor to lead our Mobile Operations team in blood collection and donor care. The role requires phlebotomy expertise, supervisory responsibilities, and adherence to donor safety and quality standards.

The supervisor schedules staff, monitors performance, trains team members, and manages time-off requests while ensuring budgets and regulatory requirements are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• 6 months of supervisory experience or Team Captain experience preferred.
• Familiarity with FDA regulations governing blood banking, AABB standards, OSHA and cGMP.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy procedures and collects blood from donor categories, including demographic info, medical history, mini-physical, venipunctures and reaction monitoring.
• Provides post-venipuncture care to donors and comfort measures as needed.
• Provides immediate supervision to team members, assigns duties, schedules hours and approves/denying time-off requests to maintain staffing.
• Manages personnel activities including interviewing, hiring, coaching, discipline and performance reviews.
• Delivers in-service training and maintains documentation for mobile collections team.
• Ensures adherence to budgeted operating expenses, overtime and time sheets; may assist in annual department budgeting.
• Routinely drives a mid-sized bus/van (non-CDL) to transport team, equipment and supplies to remote sites.
