Job summary

Trident Care is seeking a phlebotomist to drive to client facilities, primarily nursing homes, and collect blood samples following standard procedures. You will verify patient identity, label and transport specimens, and maintain accurate records.

A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required, with strong English communication. The position requires attention to patient rights, proper documentation, and collaboration with dispatch and laboratory teams to ensure timely sample

Qualifications

• Must hold current clinical licensure where required by the state.
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to laboratory work.
• Proficient in venipuncture and phlebotomy techniques.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Able to drive to client facilities and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client facilities, mostly nursing homes, as directed.
• Follow phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples.
• Identify patients according to policy before drawing blood.
• Label specimens correctly with requisitions and billing data.
• Transport specimens per policy and coordinate with departments.
• Maintain logs, time sheets, and records neatly and accurately.
• Keep equipment in good working order and report issues promptly.
• Be on-call with mobile device and available for assignments.
