Job summary

TridentCare is seeking a Phlebotomist to travel to client facilities, typically nursing homes, delivering bedside specimen collection services as directed by the dispatcher. The role requires accurate patient identification, proper labeling, processing, and timely delivery of specimens while maintaining strict universal precautions.

Qualified candidates must hold a current state phlebotomy license and a valid state driver’s license with vehicle in good working condition.

Qualifications

• Requires current, valid state phlebotomy license.
• Requires valid state driver’s license and car insurance.
• Experience with venipuncture and skin puncture techniques.
• Familiarity with laboratory processes and maintaining sterile conditions.

Responsibilities

• Drives personal vehicle to client facilities (e.g., nursing homes) as directed by dispatcher.
• Unloads phlebotomy tray and collects samples at patient bedside as ordered by physician.
• Identifies patient accurately before collection of specimens.
• Collects, labels, processes, and delivers specimens.
• Reloads equipment and supplies for prompt delivery.
• Maintains communication with dispatcher regarding status and location.
• Adheres to Universal Precautions to prevent blood-borne pathogen exposure.
