Job summary

Trident Care is seeking a phlebotomist to travel to client facilities, primarily nursing homes, to collect blood samples following established procedures. You will ensure patient identification, proper labeling, and secure handling of patient information while maintaining neat records.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and excellent English communication. You will collaborate with dispatch and clinical teams and keep equipment in good working condition.

Qualifications

• Must have current clinical licensure, if required by state.
• Proficient in phlebotomy procedures, including venipuncture.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Access to a vehicle in good working condition.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in written/verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client facilities (mostly nursing homes) using personal vehicle or arranged transportation.
• Follow established phlebotomy procedures for blood collection.
• Identify patients according to policy before drawing.
• Label specimens correctly with requisitions and patient billing info.
• Transport PHI according to policy.
• Plan and organize draw schedules with patient priorities.
• Complete logs and time sheets accurately.
• Coordinate with dispatch, lab and courier teams.
• Maintain equipment and report problems to supervisor.
• Be available on on-duty shifts and respond to mobile device promptly.
• Notify dispatch of availability for future assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Area Phlebotomy Supervisor.
