Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of lab procedures gained through education or experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• State of California Phlebotomy License (Certified Phlebotomy Tech I) required.
• Proof of vehicle insurance in compliance with UC policy required.
• Ability to perform duties with accuracy and reliability.
• Customer service skills essential for patient interactions.
• Background check and DMV pull notice system involvement.
• Current California driver’s license required.
• Access to reliable personal transportation for offsite locations.
• Ability to pass EKG competency test.
• Ability to maintain efficient pace and teamwork across the Health System.

Responsibilities

• Performs specimen processing and accessioning in the Main Lab.
