Job summary

Gulf Coast Blood Center is seeking a Phlebotomist Driver (Full-Time) for East Texas. The Mobile Phlebotomist will set up/tear down at mobile sites and perform screening, venipuncture, and donor care, with strong emphasis on customer service and donor satisfaction.

This role involves working with a diverse donor population across mobile sites, maintaining donor records, and adhering to standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and six months of phlebotomy experience, or an equivalent education/experience.
• Associate degree is a plus.
• Phlebotomy certificate strongly preferred.
• EMT certification or related license is a plus.
• Valid Texas driver's license with good driving record; CDL within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading/unloading, setup, and teardown of equipment at mobile donor sites.
• Perform pre-donation screening, venipuncture, and post-venipuncture care.
• Accurately complete donor records in a timely manner.
• Provide high level of customer service to donors.
• Identify non-routine situations and report to supervisor.
• Attend continuing education and training in phlebotomy procedures.
• Maintain proficiency in phlebotomy procedures.
• Assist other staff to ensure smooth workflow and processes.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
