Job summary

Gulf Coast Blood is seeking a Phlebotomist Driver to travel to mobile blood drives, perform donor screening and blood collection, and ensure donor care from setup through breakdown. This role supports hospitals by maintaining a safe blood supply and engaging with diverse donors.

You will adapt to a dynamic mobile environment, provide exceptional customer service, and work with a team to uphold safety and quality standards while pursuing CDL within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Phlebotomy Certification strongly preferred.
• EMT Certification or licensure in related healthcare field preferred.
• Minimum six months phlebotomy experience required.
• Valid Texas Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• Ability and willingness to obtain a CDL within one year of employment.
• Ability to work in a mobile environment and travel to blood drive locations.

Responsibilities

• Donor registration verification, health history review, and pre-donation screening.
• Venipuncture and blood collection using approved phlebotomy techniques.
• Monitor donors and provide post-donation care and instructions.
• Identify and respond to donor reactions and non-routine situations.
• Ensure donor safety, comfort, and satisfaction throughout donation.
