Job summary

Gulf Coast Blood in Houston is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to join a team dedicated to saving lives. You will drive to mobile donor sites, perform phlebotomy procedures, and ensure donor safety and comfort.

The role offers varied daily experiences and opportunities to engage with donors across the Gulf Coast region. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, six months phlebotomy experience, and a valid driver's license with clean record.

Qualifications

• Six months of phlebotomy experience or equivalent.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License with 1+ year driving experience and clean record.
• Phlebotomy certification and related credentials are a plus.
• Ability to build rapport with donors and provide high-quality customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operate departmental vehicle for transport to mobile sites.
• Complete pre-departure and post-draw checks of vehicle and equipment.
• Assist with loading/unloading and setup/tear down at mobile donor sites.
• Perform pre-donation screening, venipuncture, and post-venipuncture care.
• Accurately and legibly complete donor records in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate strong customer service skills and donor focus.
• Recruit donors at donor sites.
• Attend continuing education in phlebotomy procedures and equipment.
