Job summary

Akumin is hiring a Patient Coordinator for mobile units around the Seattle area in WA. This is a PRN, part-time role focusing on delivering excellent patient care and smooth administrative workflow.

The coordinator will greet patients, register them in systems, manage calls, verify insurance, and provide clear pre- and post-procedure instructions. CPR certification is required; use of EMR systems is expected. Travel between sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification required for Mobile Radiology.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to travel between multiple sites.
• HIPAA knowledge is essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist in person and over the phone.
• Register patients in various systems.
• Answer phone calls professionally.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations.
• Prepare and organize patient records and documentation.
• Transport patients to/from exam rooms as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Schedule patient appointments and communicate next steps.
