Job summary

Akumin is hiring a Patient Coordinator for a mobile unit in a part-time role with full-time benefits. You will greet patients, register them, verify insurance, and schedule appointments while maintaining accurate records. The position requires travel between locations, strong customer service, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR Certification must be obtained prior to hire for mobile setting.
• Valid state driver's license may be required.
• Ability to work at several locations and travel locally.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills and software familiarity.
• Local travel may be required to support multiple sites.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Register patients in various systems and verify insurance.
• Communicate clearly what to expect during and after appointments.
• May collect monies for time-of-service patient responsibility.
• Schedule appointments and ensure accurate patient records.
• Ensure HIPAA compliant documentation and image delivery as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area in mobile unit; stock supplies.
