Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Patient Coordinator for our mobile unit to ensure a positive patient experience, from greeting patients to registration and documentation. You will support coverage across locations, verify insurance, and assist with patient transport and post-procedure instructions.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and CPR certification for mobile radiology operations; a valid driver's license and ability to travel locally are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR Certification required for Mobile Radiology/Oncology role.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required; ability to travel to multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, customers, and visitors in person or by phone.
• Register patients in systems and verify insurance information.
• Schedule appointments and prepare patient records and documentation.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient visits in electronic and written formats.
• Provide patient instruction and assist clinical staff as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant practices and perform other duties as assigned.
