Akumin is hiring a Part-time Patient Coordinator for our mobile radiology unit in Grand Rapids, MI. You’ll greet patients, handle registration, answer calls, verify insurance, collect payments, and ensure accurate documentation under HIPAA guidelines.

This role involves multi-site support, light transportation tasks, and providing clear pre- and post-procedure instructions. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma, strong customer service and organizational skills, CPR certification prior to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• CPR Certification must be obtained prior to hire for Mobile Radiology/Oncology.
• Valid state driver's license may be required.
• Ability to work at multiple locations and travel as needed.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Performs patient registration in various systems and ensures insurance verification/authorization.
• Answers calls professionally and handles inquiries and payments as needed.
• Transfers patients to exam areas and provides pre/post-procedure instructions.
• Maintains a clean, organized work area and supports documentation and image delivery.
• Adheres to HIPAA regulations and supports multiple site coverage.
