Akumin Inc. is seeking a Patient Coordinator for its mobile unit in Salinas, CA. This part-time role focuses on delivering excellent patient service, registering patients, and ensuring clear communication about procedures.

The ideal candidate shows strong customer service skills, CPR readiness, and the ability to work at multiple locations while maintaining HIPAA-compliant documentation and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required for Mobile Radiology; CPR a plus for Fixed Radiology.
• Valid state driver's license may be required.
• Ability to work at multiple locations and travel as needed.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be required.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, customers, and visitors in person and by phone.
• Register patients in various systems and verify information.
• Answer calls professionally and courteously.
• May collect time-of-service payments and verify insurance.
• Provide patient instructions and post-procedure guidance.
• Maintain a clean, organized mobile unit workspace and stock supplies.
• Schedule appointments and ensure accurate patient records.
• Assist clinical staff with documentation and image delivery as needed.
