Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in Battle Creek, MI is seeking an Occupational Therapist (PRN) to deliver functional rehabilitation across home, school, work, and community settings. The role emphasizes treating clients in real-life contexts, beyond clinical environments, with a collaborative team of therapists.

You will evaluate, plan, and adjust treatments, communicate progress to families and the care team, and work autonomously while traveling to client homes as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted OT license in the practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of one year of OT work experience.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological diagnoses preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds; moving/patient transfer up to 100 pounds with safety.
• Duties require fine motor skills, visual acuity, and walking/standing for extended periods.
• Additional physical requirements include pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently.
• Health screen may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Regularly reassess treatment effectiveness, attend staffing meetings and family conferences.
• Perform discharge evaluations and provide home and community safety recommendations.
• Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, patient and family.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure coordinated care and better outcomes.
