Job summary

UniFirst is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to install and troubleshoot industrial equipment across multiple locations in the region. You will service large-capacity washers and dryers, conveyors, boilers, and pneumatic systems, following blueprints, schematics, and safety procedures.

The role requires reading maintenance literature in English, use of hand and power tools, MIG/TIG/ARC welding, and a valid driver's license for travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics preferred.
• Lockout/Tagout experience preferred.
• Prior welding experience MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazing.

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains industrial equipment and systems following blueprints and specifications.
• Ensures safe operation of machinery and electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Performs Lockout/Tagout and Confined Space procedures where appropriate.
• Travels to multiple company locations to perform maintenance.
• Performs welding activities including MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazing.
