Job summary

GFL Environmental, Inc. is seeking a skilled technician to safely operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment. Starting pay is $30-$35 per hour with additional pay based on experience and certifications.

The shift starts at 4am with long days and overtime after 40 hours. Service calls are performed using a company truck. Benefits include PTO, tool allowance, boot reimbursement, health benefits after 60 days, and 401(k) after 6 months.

Qualifications

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

Starting Pay: $30-$35/hr

More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Shift: 4am start time. Expect 11hr days. Immediate Overtime after 40hrs.

Shift will be service call heavy-provided with company truck.
