Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a skilled mechanic to safely operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment to keep the fleet performing reliably for daily operations.

Starting pay ranges from $20 to $30 per hour, with higher rates based on experience and ASE certifications. Shift is 10am–8pm, Monday–Friday, with overtime after 40 hours. Benefits such as PTO, tool allowances, boot reimbursement, and 401K eligibility are noted.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing diesel refuse trucks.
• Ability to diagnose hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Willingness to work 10am–8pm shift and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, and complete repairs on diesel refuse trucks.
• Repair hydraulic, electrical, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep trucks operational.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure fleet readiness.

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

Starting Pay: $20 to $30 per hour. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .50 bump per T Series ASE.

Shift: 10am-8pm M-F. Overtime after 40hrs worked.

• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
