Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a skilled diesel refuse truck technician to inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair trucks to keep our fleet in safe, reliable operation.

You will work on hydraulic/electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTOs, and other components, with emphasis on preventative maintenance and readiness for daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Starting Pay: $27 to $33 per hour. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Shift: 10am start time. Expect 10-12hr shifts M-F. Immediate overtime after 40hrs worked.
