Job summary

GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled diesel technician to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment in our fleet. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure daily operation of refuse trucks are safe and reliable.

Starting pay 26–40 per hour, with a $5K sign-on bonus paid in two installments. Shift: 12pm-10pm M-F; OT after 40 hours. ASE certification pay bump after certs; benefits after 60 days and 401K after 6 months.

Qualifications

• Maintains and repairs diesel refuse trucks and equipment.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Performs preventive maintenance to keep fleet ready for daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job DescriptionSafely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

$5K Sign On Bonus-paid out in 2 installments. One payment of $2500 after 30 days the remaining $2500 after 90 days.

Starting Pay: $26 to $40 per hour. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Shift: 12pm-10pm M-F. OT after 40hrs

We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .25 bump per T Series ASE.
