Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a skilled diesel truck technician to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain our heavy duty fleet. This role focuses on ensuring trucks and equipment operate safely and reliably for daily operations.

The position offers starting pay of $26-$34 per hour with opportunities for higher pay based on experience and ASE certifications. Typical shift is 6am–5pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime after 40 hours and benefits after 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely

Starting Pay: $26-$34/hr. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Starting Shift: 6am-5pm M-F. OT after 40hrs worked!

We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .25 bump per T Series ASE.
