Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician for a permanent floating role that travels between a portfolio of communities in the greater Charlotte region. Reliable transportation and the ability to work across all locations are required.

You will perform routine and preventive maintenance, complete the make-ready process for vacant homes, document work orders, and support grounds and signage upkeep. The role includes safety compliance and cost-saving opportunities by repairing parts where possible.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications required (Type 1/II or Universal).
• Valid driver’s license to operate golf carts and drive between properties.
• State/local certifications as required by jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair defects following policies and safety standards.
• Complete make-ready process for vacant homes: inspections, punch list, scheduling vendors, and materials.
• Access materials from maintenance and track inventory; notify re-ordering needs.
• Document all service requests timely and accurately for tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and perform cleaning/painting as needed to uphold standards.
• Support cost-saving by repairing parts rather than replacing components.
