Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Seattle seeks an HVAC Building Technician to operate and maintain mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems across assigned properties, ensuring safe, clean, and efficient facilities.

You will perform preventive maintenance, monitor energy use, respond to emergencies, and support life-safety requirements, with a focus on reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role may require overtime and shift work as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Apprentice program or trade school preferred.
• 5+ years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• May require Universal Technician certification for CFCs depending on market licensure.
• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC, plumbing, or electrical requirements of the building(s).
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, pumps, and HVAC systems.
• Monitor energy management and adjust equipment as needed to optimize comfort and efficiency.
• Respond to emergency situations and report activities to supervisor.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and safety practices.
